Coleman Camping Stove
What do you think is the better choice for my environmentalist parents: a Coleman propane camping stove or a Coleman gas fuelled camping stove?
The gas camping stove is definitely the more environmentally friendly of the two stoves. Aside from that, it is also less expensive and burns hotter compared to the Coleman propane camping stove. However, gas camping stove is usually heavier, and bulkier so it may not be appropriate during backpack camping.A Coleman propane stove, on the other hand is lighter, low-maintenance and just as reliable as the gas camping stove. Also, it can simmer food more efficiently since it is not as hot burning as the gas stove.
Aside from looking into the environmental advantages of a stove, you may also want to consider the type of camping and cooking your family intends to do to help you decide which Coleman camping stove is for you.
